Erika is a Birmingham native currently residing in Illinois. She joined our firm in September of 2018 and continues to work with us virtually. She is passionate about helping others and supporting the Latin community. In her free time, Erika enjoys exploring the outdoors and supporting the local community.
Yesenia joined our firm in January of 2021. She works with us as a paralegal and as an English-Spanish translator. She is a Birmingham native with Mexican roots. She enjoys learning how to help and serve our local hispanic community. In her free time, Yesenia enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves going on hikes and riding her bike outdoors.
Eleanor joined our firm in February 2017 to pursue advocacy for migrants in a new arena. Previously, she was a legal assistant at a Birmingham general practice law firm. Before coming to Alabama, she held teaching appointments at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and Vanderbilt University. She received a Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of Michigan.
Dean joined our team in 2014. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Louisiana for 7 years. He then joined the Immigration and Naturalization Service as an Immigration Inspector in Louisiana and Florida, and he then served as a Deportation Officer in Louisiana and Alabama. After serving as a Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officer in Gadsden, Alabama, during the creation of and transition to the Department of Homeland Security after 9/11, he retired with over 30 years of law enforcement experience.
Dean brings his extensive expertise acquired during these many years of experience to help our attorneys and clients navigate the complexities of our immigration agencies and their processes and procedures.
